Helping Families, Changing Lives

The Down Syndrome Association of West Tennessee (DSAWT) was formed in 2004 by a group of volunteer parents of children with Down syndrome. Thanks to the assistance of parents and other organizations interested in providing accurate information about Down syndrome, DSAWT is able to provide peer support to families in the West Tennessee region.

Today, DSAWT is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that is led by an eight-member Board of Directors. DSAWT provides social and recreational opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome and their families, as well as resource information and peer support.

DSAWT is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization funded by private support from individuals, businesses, community organizations, and fundraising efforts.
